Badminton

June 10, 2021
It is a sport with a racket that can be played in singles or pairs, where the players place themselves in opposite halves of a rectangular court divided by a net.

Unlike other racket sports, badminton is not played with a ball, but with a projectile called shuttlecock, consisting of a semi sphere (similar to a ball) cut on its base for feathers. The design offers aerodynamic resistance in the travel of the shuttlecock, granting speed to the movements and avoiding deviation if there is wind.

The point ends once the shuttlecock touches the ground, it can only be hit once before passing the net.

This sport requires aerobic resistance, strength, and speed. It is also a technical sport, with high demands of coordination and skills with the racket.
