This sport is played by teams in a court of 18x9 meters, divided by a net (2,43 meters tall for men, 2,24 meters tall for women), each team plays with six players.

Each team has the opportunity to touch the ball a maximum of 3 times before passing it to the opposite side of the court and no player can touch the ball 2 times in a row.

The matches are played to the best of five sets, until one reaches 25 points, but always having two points ahead to win it whenever there is a tie in the scoreboard. When a team gets a point, they also get the next serve.

The team that is the first to win three sets is victorious, but if the set is tied, the final set is played to 15 points. 

When a team wins the to their rival, players rotate position clockwise. This rotation system is crucial to the team’s strategy.   

Powerful strikes and blocks of the players in the net are one of the most highlighted points in this sport, although their tactics can be interesting too, each team counts with a unique strategy, based in the characteristic and game style of their players.
