WHY PARTICIPATE AS A VOLUNTEER?

ASU2022 will be part of history! And each volunteer will be an important part. You will be part of history!
 
The ASU2022 South American Games will take place mainly in Asunción, Luque and some events in San Bernardino, Encarnación and Ciudad del Este.
 
Volunteers will be the living force that will make possible the development of sporting events and for this reason this sports project has as a challenge, not only to develop the established sports tasks, but also to contribute to sports, economic and social development, leaving a trained human resource with a commitment to collaborate efficiently in strengthening the sector, prepared to assume leadership tasks, and with competencies in civic culture to intervene in multiple tasks of society.
 
The first edition of the South American Games was held in La Paz, the administrative capital of Bolivia, in November 1978. Since then, the Games have been held every four years in various cities in South America. The last edition was held in Cochabamba (Bolivia) in 2018. The city of Asunción (Paraguay) will host the XII edition of the South American Games in 2022.
 
ASU2022 will become the sports capital of America and will receive the generation of athletes who will give everything to represent their country with dignity in 37 qualifying disciplines for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games. As a Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to share with people of different ages, professions , cities and countries that will decide to give their time and effort to be the best hosts.
 
As a volunteer you will access different sports venues in Asunción and its surroundings and also in other cities of Paraguay fulfilling your duties according to the area.
 
ASU2022, host of the Games, will be recognized by the international community as a place conducive to great gatherings. PARAGUAY can! You will be part of the volunteer legacy for ASU2022! Your participation will fill us with pride!
