This morning, the National Police Headquarters summoned the press to a press conference where they provided details regarding the security operation to be deployed during the South American Games Asuncion 2022.

The conference was attended by the General Coordinator of the Asu Games, Ricardo Degeller, who gave details of the number of people who will enter the country in this unprecedented sporting event for the country and thanked the great institutional work being done to ensure the success of this great event.

"I want to thank all the security institutions that have joined forces for the games where we will receive more than four thousand five hundred athletes who will compete during 15 days and we estimate an arrival of seven thousand people, we want to ensure that Paraguay continues to host important sporting events," he said.

The Commander of the National Police, Commissioner Gen. Gilberto Fleitas, commented on the intelligence operation that will be deployed in the venues and surroundings to guarantee security for all the people attending the Games.

"We are going to guarantee the operation and security in these historic games, we have been here for days to develop the intelligence work, we are committed to make Paraguay a safe place for these games", said Fleitas.

We are one day away from the start of Asunción 2022, where a great sports festival is expected to remain in the history of the country.
