Within the framework of the XII South American Games Asunción 2022, the South American Fire continues its journey through Paraguayan lands with destination to the Defensores del Chaco Stadium to light the cauldron that will start the biggest sports festival hosted by the country, but for the moment it makes an emblematic tour through the streets of Asunción visiting historical places and the headquarters of the sponsors of these ASU2022 Games.

The South American torch is jumping from relay relay to relay relay relay in search of its destination, athletes and friends of the sport were in charge of transporting it from the Plaza de las Americas to the Municipality of Asuncion, where it was received with fervor by a large retinue. 
 
The relay runners were Carlos Gamarra, Fabi Aluam, Marcos Riquelme, Renato Prono, Minerva Montiel, Lucho Ljubetic, José Alvarenga, Jazmín Galeano, Fiorella Forestieri, Paulina Serrano, Santiago Cabrera, Luis Fernando Bernal, Óscar Rodríguez. 

On Sunday, the South American Fire will continue its itinerary, this time visiting representative places of the "Mother of Cities" such as the José Asunción Flores Waterfront and the Pantheon of Heroes. 
In the streets, the excitement is already felt for the arrival of the ASU2022 Games, which will mean a before and after in the sports development of Paraguay and will open the doors for the emergence of new talents in different disciplines.
