The city of Encarnación dressed up to receive the South American Fire, an ancestral symbol that will illuminate Paraguay at the XII South American Games Asunción 2022

​The flame toured the San José Waterfront of that city, where hundreds of people, among athletes, authorities and the general public, were eager to be part of their tour, or simply enjoy the show.

​The South American Fire entered the city by the Paraguay Route, heading to the Pergola of San José Beach, where it expected a large crowd of people.

Capital of the department of Itapúa, the city of Encarnación, is considered a tourist center for the entire region, highlighting among its attractions a gastronomic and hotel offer of first level, in addition to its beautiful beaches or emblematic places like the Jesuit Ruins, the staircase of San Pedro, the Sanctuary of the Virgin, and the Parish and Cathedral of the Incarnation, who are part of the city’s landscape and cultural wealth.
