Continuing with the follow-up visits in the framework of the XII South American Games Asunción 2022, the Follow-up Commission of the South American Sports Organization (ODESUR) resumes its activities in our country. This Thursday, August 11, an informative and update meeting was held by the functional areas of the Local Organizing Committee for international visitors in the Zubizarreta Hall of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee (COP).

The achievements obtained since the last visit in July were presented. In addition, presentations were made in the areas of Technology, Host Broadcast, Volunteer Program, Marketing and Communication, Sports, Venue Operation, Lodging, Food, Transportation, Security, Medical Services, Doping Control, Protocol and Ceremonies.

On this occasion, the following arrived in the country: Mario Moccia, president of the ODESUR Monitoring Commission; Miguel Ángel Mujica, president of the ODESUR Infrastructure Commission; Mario Cilenti, Executive Director of ODESUR; Fabio Ramírez, Technical and Development Director of ODESUR; Jorge Delgado, president of the Ecuadorian Olympic Committee; María Soto, president of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee; and Marco Arze, Augusto Morán, Damaris Young and Rogério Sampaio, members of the ODESUR Monitoring Commission.

The meeting was headed by Diego Galeano Harrison, Minister Secretary of Sports and President of the Organizing Committee of the ASU2022 Games; Camilo Pérez López Moreira, president of ODESUR, member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and holder of the COP; and Ricardo Deggeller, general coordinator of the ASU2022 Games.

The day ended on Thursday afternoon, however, the activities will continue tomorrow, Friday, with a tour of verification and updating of the different venues and sports venues existing and under construction for the ASU2022 Games.
