The "Expo Deporte", a sports space that offered a unique experience for the family, whose organization was in charge of the XII South American Games Asunción 2022 and took place in the central arena of the Expo Feria Mariano Roque Alonso, was a complete success .

The activity fulfilled the objective of promoting the XII South American Games Asunción 2022, informing the public about more details about this event that will mark a before and after in Paraguayan history, recruiting volunteers and publicizing the different disciplines that will be part of the games.

The minister of the National Sports Secretariat (SND) Diego Galeano Harrison, the president of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee (COP) Camilo Pérez López Moreira and the general coordinator of the ASU2022 Games Ricardo Deggeller, accompanied by a delegation made up of officials from the mentioned institutions.

The event started with sessions of Zumba, Dance Therapy, functional training and sports demonstrations by students and teachers from the SND Sports Schools, as well as athletes from the Paraguayan Sports Elite. The youth and children had a unique opportunity to connect with the most outstanding athletes in their respective disciplines and learn more about sports such as Chess, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Fencing, Soccer, Rhythmic and Artistic Gymnastics, Weightlifting, Handball, Judo. , Karate Do, Wrestling, Tennis, Track and Beach Volleyball, Hockey, Rugby and Rowing.

“A true sports festival is being experienced today here at the Expo with the different sports, a lot of partying and already experiencing what ASU2022 is going to be. The nice thing is to see kids from different disciplines, athletes who are going to be competing and older adults who are also dancing here, I think that is what the spirit of sport means: it has no age, it has no color and I am very happy to see this many people ”, expressed Galeano during the “Expo Deporte”.

Tiríka, the official representative of the ASU2022 Games, welcomed the families who came to the central arena of the Expo to enjoy a healthy morning full of sports activities. In addition, the public vibrated with the dancing skills of the wild cat, who showed off on stage.

The XII South American Games Asunción 2022 will take place from October 1 to 15 in our country, which will host more than 34 sports disciplines, 53 modalities and sports venues ready to receive more than 7,000 international athletes, officials and judges.
