The Follow-up Commission of the South American Sports Organization (ODESUR) is carrying out one of its visits before the opening of the XII South American Games Asuncion 2022 to verify the functional areas and infrastructure of each of the venues.

On this second day, the president of the ODESUR Follow-up Commission Mario Moccia, the president of the ODESUR Infrastructure Commission Juan Angel Mujica, the ODESUR Executive Director Mario Cilenti and the ODESUR Technical and Development Director Fabio Ramirez verified and evaluated the existing venues and those under construction for the ASU2022 Games.

This activity was accompanied by the president of ODESUR, member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and head of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee (COP) Camilo Perez Lopez Moreira and a delegation of ASU2022 officials led by the general coordinator of the ASU2022 Games Ricardo Deggeller.

After an informative update and progress meeting with the ASU2022 Infrastructure Area and the examination of the plans, they toured the Bochódromo, the Hockey Courts, the Skating Rink, the BMX Freestyle and Race Rinks, the Skate Park, scenarios of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee (COP), and finally, the Gymnastics Pavilion of the National Sports Secretariat (SND).

"We have seen significant progress in this visit. The infrastructure plan is going well, in general we are happy with the progress," said Moccia at the end of this working day with a view to October 1, the opening date of the Games ASU2022.
