ASU2022 and MEC present Volunteer Program to Higher Level Educational Institutions

With a view to the XII South American Games Asunción 2022, which will take place from October 1 to 15, 2022, the Ministry of Education and Sciences (MEC) and the ASU2022 Organizing Committee presented this Thursday, June 7, the Volunteer Program to educational institutions of the top level of the country.

Paraguay will host the South American Games, an occasion in which it will receive more than 7,000 athletes and officials from the 15 member countries of the South American Sports Organization (ODESUR). As part of the preparations, the possibility of being part of this historic event through the ASU2022 Volunteer Program is open.

The meeting took place in the Medalists Room of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee (COP) and was attended by the general director of Universities, Higher Institutes and Technical Institutes of the MEC Ariel Bado, the first vice president of the COP Julio Ferrari, the international coordinator of ASU2022 Daniel Ridao and the director of Attention to Committees, Protocol, Accreditations and Volunteering of ASU2022 Bruno Zubizarreta.

The ASU2022 Games represent a unique opportunity for upper level students to exchange cultural knowledge, gain experience and create bonds of friendship that will cross borders.

The representatives of the educational institutions were very interested in the presentation made and even requested to continue with these meetings, but already in their respective institutions to carry the message to the university students.

It should be noted that the MEC gave its support to the Volunteer Program of the ASU2022 Games, declaring it of educational interest, through Resolution No. 436 dated June 1.
