It is a sport in which each participant must shoot a firearm or a compressed air rifle with precision to a target. It is a sport with a lot of tension and requires immense skill and serenity. Success means controlling the emotions of the moment.

All rules abide by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), which is the organization that rules shooting sport at an international level and is in charge of hosting competitions and events periodically in each of its disciplines.

The athletes that practice this sport require formation and discipline, being essential the use of personal protection equipment (PPE), protective glasses and hearing protection.

It is a huge attraction for the spectator, the tension generated before the shots being fired, the joy of a successful shot and the drastic changes in the qualification makes living close to this sport to be an unforgettable experience.

In shooting, there are three disciplines; rifle and pistol, where the athlete fires stationary targets at range and shotgun is for shooting moving targets.
